Come have fun with me and see what you can write. This is my entry for….Contest: Writer’s Cramp – Writer’s.Com

In five short days,

our beautiful trees were gone.

The homes we nested,

where we loved.

Humans had come,

with cutting machines

and razed the whole forest,

each tumbling weed.

We had to scurry and flee,

quickly fly away.

Run with fleeted hoof,

pound the path with paws.

Leaving for higher ground

where man had not roamed

and others have fled

but we must also make home.

For in five short days,

our beautiful trees were gone.

In their place

were men’s artificial homes.
